Toledo men's basketball coach Gene Cross has stepped down from his position, according to a Toledo Blade report.
A 4:30 p.m. press conference at the university this afternoon is believed to have been called to make the announcement official.
Cross just finished the second year a five-year contract, but his team was a lowly 4-28 (1-15 Mid-American Conference) this season, which is the worst finish in school history.
He wasn't much better in his first season when he only won seven games.
Cross has made no indication of the move on his Twitter account as of the time of this post.
Fox Toledo's Howard Chen has been providing his commentary on the decision on his Twitter account.
