The scheduled double-header between BG and Yale today only made it through five innings, as rain canceled the last four innings of game one and all of game two. The two teams played to a 7-7 tie in the rain-shortened game.

Jon Berti and Logan Meisler each continued their strong starts to the season, as they both went 2-2, with Meisler adding an RBI and two runs, and Berti scoring one run.

On the year, Berti is batting .488 in ten games, while Meisler is hitting .351 in 11 games.

Brennan Smith once again struggled, giving up six earned runs on six hits and two walks in 1.2 innings pitched. One of the preseason Mid-American Conference Pitcher of the Year favorites, Smith has a 14.21 ERA in four starts, covering 12.2 innings on the season.

The second game of the double-header will not be made up. Tomorrow afternoon the Falcons take on the North Dakota State Bison, weather permitting, in their second-to-last game of the RussMatt Invitational.
