BG baseball picked up their first win of the year Saturday against the Northeastern Huskies, 13-9, in Auburndale, Fla. Frank Compagnone had three hits and two RBI, including an RBI double in the fourth inning.
The Falcons jumped early on the Huskies, scoring three runs in the top of the first off starter Drew Leenhouts. The Huskies struck back, scoring two of their own runs by smacking four hits in the inning.
Northeastern took the lead in the third inning, scoring two more runs by capitalizing on a throwing error and adding one on Jason Roth's RBI single.
