Barnes to return to BG on Wednesday

Recently graduated wide receiver Freddie Barnes will return to BGSU on Wednesday to be honored at halftime of the men's basketball game against Kent State.

Former quarterback Tyler Sheehan will also be on hand.

Not only will the University be honoring two of the best football players to play at BGSU, Barnes will also receive the College Football Performance Award's 2009 Elite Wide Receiver Award.

Barnes had an NCAA-record 155 receptions for 1,770 yards and 19 touchdowns during the 2009 season and set numerous school and Humanitarian Bowl records.

Sheehan also set many school records in 2009 after posting 4,051 yards and 27 touchdowns on 373-of-575 passing. He threw just seven interceptions in 13 games.
