Former Falcon goalie Jimmy Spratt has been signed by the Toledo Walleye as a backup goalie.

The Walleye inked Spratt as an emergency backup after starting goalie Alec Richards was recalled by the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Toledo has a game tonight against Kalamazoo at Lucas County Arena, and Spratt could see action if needed.

Spratt played four seasons with the Falcons, posting 27 wins. Spratt's defining moment with BG was a 3-0 shutout he posted at Michigan his senior season.

Prior to his career with the Falcons, Spratt played for the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL. He was drafted in the seventh round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Calgary Flames
