THE GAME: BG vs. Chicago State, 7:30 p.m. in Anderson Arena for a first-round Preseason WNIT game. Student admission is $4.

WHAT'S AT STAKE:
In the first game of the season for both teams, the Falcons and Cougars will battle for the right to play the winner of No. 3 Ohio State-Eastern Illinois in the second round of the Preseason WNIT. The loser of this game will be matched up with another of the eight first round losers. Teams are assured three games in the Preseason WNIT.

BG IS RELYING ON: Lauren Prochaska. The junior guard was named the 2008-09 Mid-American Conference Player of the Year after leading the team in points and rebounds, all while showing great courage throughout the season. But, she was out for a good portion of fall practice with the flu and mono and has not built her strength back up yet. Nonetheless, coach Curt Miller said he is expecting her to be the team's No. 1 offensive threat and a defensive stopper.

CSU IS RELYING ON: The Waldon sisters. Courtney and Alyssa Waldon made 111 three-pointers last season, and that number would have been much higher had Alyssa not missed the final 13 games because of injury. The Falcons will need to defend the three-point line with strength throughout the entire game, even if they are leading by 10-15 points because the two sisters can change a game in mere minutes with their shooting.

LAST TIME: The Falcons have a 2-0 record against Chicago State, winning the last game in Chicago during the 2007-08 season 72-55.
