BG senior linebacker Jerett Sanderson had been named the Mid-American Conference East Division Defensive Player of the Week.
Sanderson had six tackles (one for a loss), an interception, a fumble force and a pass breakup during a 35-14 BG win against Miami last Thursday.
The fumble occurred on the opening kickoff and set up BG with their first touchdown.
He leads the team with 65 tackles on the season.
