BG freshman forward Jordan Samuels-Thomas has been named the Central Collegiate Hockey Association Rookie of the Week, announced by the league today.

Samuels-Thomas racked up four points (two goals and two assists) this past weekend in BG's series split with Alaska.

He scored the game's first goal Friday in the Falcons' first win of the season and added a goal and two assists the next night.

His three points on Saturday gave him his second multi-point game of the season, and he has now scored at least one point in five of his last six games.

Samuels-Thomas leads the Falcons with 10 points (five goals and five assists) this season.

He is tied for third in conference play with seven points (five goals and two assists) and is tied for first among CCHA freshmen in scoring (1.17 ppg).
