BGSU's varsity hockey team announced their 2009-10 regular season schedule early Thursday afternoon. It looks to be a tough schedule for the Falcons who finished dead last in the CCHA last season, as they face-off with 12 teams that qualified for the 2009 NCAA tournament. Their regular season will be even tougher this season, as their cluster in the CCHA includes Notre Dame, Michigan and Michigan State.
The Falcons will also have a long wait till their regular season home opener, as they don't host a CCHA team until November 13-14 at Alaska. In another schedule twist, it appears the BG-Michigan game on November 21st will be held in Toledo according to Michigan's website. If this is the case the game would most likely be held at the new Lucas County Arena, built for the Toledo Walleye, and should be a home game for BGSU.
